Questions
The things people ask before they move their link in bio to Zest. Anything else, write to zest@studionine.agency.
Plans and paying
How much does Zest cost?
Free is £0 for one page, with no card. Plus is £5 a month, Pro £9 and Studio £49. Pay yearly and you get three months free: £45 a year for Plus, £81 for Pro and £441 for Studio.
What’s the catch with the free plan?
You get one page with every block on it, live feeds and events included, and Insights for the last 90 days. The Zest badge shows at the bottom of the page, and you choose from three themes. Paid plans remove the badge and add scheduling, your own colours, your own domain and more pages.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets Pro free for 14 days, with no card. It’s once per email address.
What happens when the trial ends?
Your account moves to Free unless you’ve chosen a plan. One page stays live, the badge comes back, and your own domain stops showing your page. Nothing is deleted, and everything comes back if you upgrade.
How do I cancel?
Go to Your account, then Plan and billing, and choose Card, invoices or cancel. Your plan carries on until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, then moves to Free. Nothing on your page is deleted.
Can I get my money back?
Yes, within 14 days of starting a new plan. You get back what you paid, less the days you’ve used, and you do it yourself in Your account › Plan and billing.
Can I have more than one page?
Free and Plus have one page. Pro has up to 3, and Studio includes 15 client pages, then £2 a month for each extra.
Moving in and your address
Can I bring my links over from Linktree?
Yes. Paste your Linktree address and your links and profiles come across in one go. Nothing changes on Linktree.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Studio. Your page can live at an address like links.yoursite.com, or at yoursite.com/links on the website you already have. Visitors and search engines see your name in the address.
What happens to my links if I leave?
If you use your own domain, the address in your bio is yours, so you can point it anywhere and nothing you have shared breaks. On any plan you can export your page, links and subscribers whenever you like.
Selling and your list
Can I sell things from my page?
Yes, on every plan. Add a Product block with your Shopify, Bandcamp, Etsy or Stripe checkout link, or a Shop block that shows your Shopify or WooCommerce products. Buyers pay on your own checkout, so the money goes straight to you.
Do you take a cut of what I sell?
No. Zest takes 0% of sales and tips on every plan. Your checkout or payment service charges its own fees as usual.
Who owns my email list?
You do. Everyone who signs up on your page is in Insights, and you can export the list as a spreadsheet any time, on any plan. We don’t email them about anything except your page.
Can my signups go straight to Mailchimp?
Yes, on Plus and above. Connect Mailchimp or Kit and everyone who joins is added to your audience straight away. They stay in Insights too.
Your page and your visitors
What does “updates itself” mean?
Your page changes without you touching it. A new video, episode or post goes to the top within 15 minutes. Past gig dates drop off, a countdown turns into the link on the day, and opening hours say open or closed on their own.
Will there be ads on my page?
No. There are no ads on any plan, including Free.
Does Zest put cookies on my visitors?
Not for Insights. Visits are counted without cookies, and we don’t keep visitors’ IP addresses.
What can I see in Insights?
Visits, taps on each link, where visitors came from, phone or computer, and new subscribers. Free shows the last 90 days, Plus 12 months, and Pro and Studio everything.
Will it load quickly inside Instagram and TikTok?
Pages are small, have no cookie banner (there are no cookies to ask about) and load videos only when tapped, which matters inside Instagram and TikTok, where most of your visitors open it.
About us and your data
Who makes Zest?
Studio Nine, a small creative agency in the UK. We build brands and websites for clients, and Zest grew out of fixing the same link in bio problems for them. Write to us at zest@studionine.agency and a person replies.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Go to Your account, then Your data. Download a copy first if you want one, then delete your account. It removes your pages, list, numbers and pictures for good, and stops any paid plan straight away.
For music
Is it free?
Yes, for one page with every block, as long as you like. Plus is £5 a month (or £45 a year) if you want to take our badge off, schedule blocks around a release and connect Kit or Mailchimp.
Does it do presaves?
Fans can tap “Tell me when it’s out” on a release and get one email on the day. If your distributor gives you a presave link, put it on the countdown, then swap it for the listen link on release day.
I’ve got everything on Linktree.
Paste your Linktree address and every link comes across.
What happens to old gigs?
They come off the page the morning after the show. You never have to remember.
Can my label or manager run it?
Yes. On Studio they can run your page with their other artists. You can keep your own login and approve what they change.
For creators
How fast does a new video show up?
Within 15 minutes. The page checks your feed every 15 minutes and puts the newest item at the top of that block, with a New label for its first week.
Which platforms can it read?
YouTube channels (paste your @handle), and podcasts, blogs and newsletters with a feed, Substack included. Shopify and WooCommerce shops keep themselves up to date too.
Can I sell things and take tips?
Yes, on every plan. Products go to your own checkout and we take 0%. Tips work with Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, Patreon or a Stripe link.
Is it free?
Free for one page, with live feeds and every other block. Plus is £3.75 a month, billed yearly. It removes the badge and sends new subscribers to Mailchimp or Kit.
Can I bring my Linktree across?
Paste your linktr.ee address when you start and every link and profile comes across in seconds. Pages on bio.link, Beacons and Carrd come across the same way.
Do the emails I collect belong to me?
Yes. Export your list whenever you like, or send new subscribers to Mailchimp or Kit on Plus. Everyone on it can leave with one click.
For business
Is it free?
Yes, for one page with every block, including the menu, the hours and the booking button, for as long as you like. Plus is £5 a month (or £45 a year) to take our badge off and schedule specials to come and go. Pro is £9 a month (or £81 a year) for your own address and up to 3 pages.
We already have Instagram. Why do we need this?
Keep Instagram for the photos. When someone wants the menu, today’s hours or a table for four on a wet Tuesday, they tap the link in your bio, and this page is what opens. Scrolling back through posts for last month’s hours is what sends people somewhere else.
Can I change the menu from my phone?
Yes. The editor works on a phone and saves as you go, so a new price or a dish that’s run out takes a few seconds. There’s nobody to pay by the hour for a small change.
Can I show allergens?
Yes. Each dish can list any of the 14 allergens UK food law names, as well as tags like vegetarian, vegan and spicy. There’s a line of small print under the menu for “Please tell us about any allergies”.
Our menu’s a PDF on Linktree. How do we move?
Paste your Linktree address and every link comes across. Then type the menu in once and the PDF can go.
For freelancers
What does it cost?
Free for one page with every block, for as long as you like. Plus is £5 a month (or £45 a year) to remove our badge and use every theme and colour. Pro is £9 a month (or £81 a year) for your own domain and up to 3 pages, and you can try Pro free for 14 days with no card.
Are the good themes behind a paywall?
Three themes are free, and so is every font and button shape. Plus opens the rest and lets you set your own colours.
Can I use it instead of a website?
It can be your website. On Pro it lives on your own domain, at yourname.co.uk, or at yourname.co.uk/links beside the site you already have.
What happens to my photos when I upload them?
Pick pictures of up to 20 MB from your phone or laptop. The editor sizes them for the page and strips camera data, such as where the photo was taken, before it uploads. Tiles are square, cropped from the centre.
Can I add Vimeo, Behance or Pinterest?
You can link to any of them today, as a button or a tile.
I built mine on Carrd. Can I move?
Paste your Carrd address when you start and your links come across. There’s a guide to switching from Carrd too.
For communities
Is it free?
Yes. One page with every block, for as long as the club likes, with no card. Plus is £5 a month (or £45 a year) to remove our badge and schedule blocks, so the summer timetable can appear on 1 June by itself.
What happens when the secretary changes?
Change the email and password on the account and sign out everywhere. The new secretary takes over the page, the email list and the insights as they were.
We meet every Tuesday. Do I add every date?
For now, add the next few by hand, or put “Every Tuesday, 6:30pm” in a line of text above them.
Can people sign up for sessions?
Each date has an RSVP button. Point it at Spond, a Google Form or wherever you take names, and mark a session Few left or Sold out as it fills.
We’re on Linktree.
Paste your Linktree address and every link comes across.
For agencies
What does Studio cost?
£49 a month, or £441 a year, for 15 client pages. Each page after that is £2 a month, all on one subscription. Your clients don’t need plans of their own.
Can one client see another client’s page?
No. A client’s login opens only the pages you gave them, and you can remove that access at any time.
Will we get a surprise renewal?
Studio renews monthly or yearly, as you chose, until you cancel, which you can do yourself in Your account › Plan and billing. Change your mind within 14 days of starting and you get back what you paid, less the days used.
What happens if we leave Studio?
Client logins stop working, and you choose which pages stay live on your new plan. The rest pause until you move up again, with nothing deleted.
Can I move my clients over from Linktree?
Paste each client’s Linktree address and every link comes across.
