Add a clock, weather or other widget
Live widgets for your page: your local time, the weather, a countdown, now playing, Discord status and a GitHub repository.
Checked against the app on
At the end of this your page has a widget that keeps itself up to date. All of them are under Widgets when you choose Add a block in Build.
Clock
Your local time, ticking live, so people know when to reach you.
- Choose Clock.
- Pick your Time zone. Visitors see how far ahead or behind them it is.
- Add a Place, such as Leeds, and a Heading if you like.
Weather
The weather where you are, updated every half hour from MET Norway, the Norwegian weather service.
- Choose Weather.
- Type Your town or city, such as Leeds, UK, and click away. The preview shows the weather straight away.
Countdown
Days, hours, minutes and seconds to a date, ticking on your page.
- Choose Countdown.
- Fill in Counting down to, such as Tour starts in, and the Date and time.
- Fill in When it's over, say, such as It's here. Add a Link for a Find out more button.
For a release, a Countdown drop may suit you better: it counts down, then becomes the link on the day.
Now playing
What you're listening to right now, from Last.fm.
- Connect Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music to your Last.fm account, on Last.fm.
- Choose Now playing and type Your Last.fm username.
Discord status
Online, away or busy, what you're playing and a Join button. Your status is read through Lanyard, a free service.
- Join Lanyard's Discord server once, at discord.gg/lanyard.
- In Discord, turn on Developer Mode under Settings, Advanced. Then right click your name and choose Copy User ID.
- Choose Discord status and paste it into Your Discord user ID.
- Add a Server invite for a Join the server button, if you like.
GitHub repository
A public project with its stars, forks and language, kept up to date.
- Choose GitHub repository.
- Type the Repository as owner/name, or paste its github.com address.
If it doesn't work
- Discord shows nothing. You need to be in Lanyard's server for your status to be read. Check the user ID is the long number, not your username.
- Now playing is empty. Check Last.fm is recording your plays: open your Last.fm profile and look for your latest track.
- GitHub can't find the repository. It has to be public.
