Let fans follow your page and get alerts

At the end of this visitors can ask to hear from you when something new goes on your page, without joining a mailing list.

Followers

1. Open Settings, then the Sharing tab.
2. In Followers, switch on Let visitors follow your page.

A Follow button appears under your bio. Followers confirm by email. After that they get one short email when something new lands: a new video or post, a launch going live, or new dates. They get at most one every 12 hours and can stop any time.

You see how many people follow your page, never who.

Fan alerts for a launch

1. Open the Launch block in Build.
2. Set the date and time in Comes out. Until then the card shows the date and the buttons ask fans to presave.
3. Leave "Tell me when it's out" for fans switched on.

Each fan who asks gets one email the moment it's out, and nothing else. Once that email has gone, their address is wiped. Fans join your list only if they choose to.

If it doesn't work

• There's no Follow button on the page. The button appears once email is switched on for the site. Your choice is saved, and it shows by itself when it is. See The Follow button or Write to your list is missing.
• Fans can't ask for an alert. The same applies: alerts need email to be switched on for the site. Fans can still use the presave buttons.
• You want their email addresses. Followers and alerts are for news only. To build a list you can export, add an Email signup block. See Collect email addresses.
