Linktree alternatives in 2026
Instagram's own links, Beacons, Stan Store, Carrd, your own website and ours, compared on what each is good for, with every fact sourced and dated.
Checked on
The main Linktree alternatives in 2026 are Instagram's own five profile links (free), Beacons for brand deals, Stan Store for selling courses and coaching, Carrd for a cheap custom domain, and a page on your own website. Which one fits depends on what your link has to do, and for plenty of people Linktree itself is still fine.
First, why people look
Linktree is the default link in bio, and it works. People start looking for something else for a handful of reasons, and it's worth knowing which is yours before you switch:
- Your own address. Linktree's help centre says it doesn't support custom domains.
- Click history. Linktree's help centre says the Free plan shows 28 days of insights, with longer history on paid plans.
- Ads on free pages. Linktree's help centre says some visitors to Free pages may see a short ad after they select a link. It's in beta, and upgrading removes it.
- Price. Linktree raised its prices in November 2025. We don't quote its prices here, because the sources we checked disagreed. Its pricing page shows the current price in your currency.
If none of those bothers you, stay where you are. Moving takes time.
Instagram's own links
Meta's help centre says you can add up to five links to your Instagram bio without a subscription.
Good for: someone with three or four links that rarely change.
Not for: anyone who wants pictures, dates, or the same links in their TikTok and YouTube bios. See How to add a link in bio on Instagram.
Beacons
Beacons is a creator platform with a link in bio page, a store, a media kit and a brand deals marketplace.
Good for: influencers who get work through brand deals.
Watch for: Beacons takes 9% of sales on its Free and Creator plans, and 0% from Creator Plus ($30 a month). A custom domain starts on Creator ($10 a month). Prices are from its US plans page.
Stan Store
Stan Store is a storefront for creators who sell courses, coaching, memberships and downloads.
Good for: coaches and educators whose page is mostly a checkout.
Watch for: there's no free plan. Creator is $29 a month after a 14 day trial, and pages stay at stan.store/yourname with no custom domain.
Carrd
Carrd is a one page website builder that many people use as a link in bio.
Good for: people who want their own domain for very little and rarely update the page. A custom domain starts at $19 a year, the cheapest we found.
Watch for: it's a website builder, so you build the layout yourself, and analytics aren't included on Pro Lite.
Your own website
If you already have a website, a single page at yoursite.com/links costs nothing extra.
Good for: businesses with a web developer or a site builder they're comfortable with.
Watch for: someone has to update it, and on most site builders that's slower than editing a link in bio page from your phone.
Ours
This site's own link in bio, Zest, is made by Studio Nine, a UK agency, so weigh this part accordingly. Its difference is pages that update themselves: your newest YouTube video, podcast episode or blog post goes to the top within 15 minutes, past gig dates clear themselves, and opening hours say open or closed by themselves. It's free for one page with unlimited links and no ads. Plus is £5 a month or £45 a year, and your own domain is on Pro, from £6.75 a month billed yearly. If you're on Linktree, pasting your Linktree address brings every link across. What it doesn't do: brand deals (use Beacons) or hosting courses (use Stan Store, or keep them where they are and link to them).
Two closed this year
Tap Bio shut on 31 October 2026, and its pages are offline. ToneDen shuts its standalone site on 1 December 2026, and FanLinks, presaves and TourLinks there will stop working; accounts connected to Eventbrite carry on. If you're on either, move before the links break.
How to choose
Write down what your link has to do, in order. Then:
- Three or four links that don't change: Instagram's own links.
- Brand deals: Beacons.
- Courses and coaching: Stan Store.
- A cheap custom domain on a page you rarely touch: Carrd.
- A page that keeps up with new videos, episodes, gigs or opening hours: one with live feeds, like ours above.
Whichever you pick, keep your old page live until the new link is in every bio, so nobody lands on a dead page. If you'd like to try the self updating kind, a page on Zest is free for one page with no card.
